chleansmile prettied up my wee!Chlark fic Daisychain with the sweetest banner ever, my great mate

grlmonday made this masterpiece for the last story in that series, Today, Tomorrow and Forever. Isn't it just the best?

When the lovely

chleansmile made an open call for banner requests, I asked her, among other things, to make a manip for my Wee!Chlark story Daisychain. There was a specific set of requests I made for it, namely:

1. Both Chloe and Clark have to look about 6 years old;
2. Chloe has to have short hair, and Clark's has to be dark; and
3. The Daily Planet has to feature somewhere in the skyline

Not easy, I'm sure you'd agree. So it was a major surprise when, three days later, she emails me with this!!!

grlmonday has started an edge-of-your-seat AU Chlark fic that is seriously ticking all my boxes. It's titled The Love of His Life, which she's posting at her blog, and she's promised to post a new chapter every Monday. I've personally had the pleasure of previewing the first six chapters, and I tell you it's one of the best Chlark fics I've read all year. :-P

The Witnessing (available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble) is the first book of The Good Shepherds Series. It's 39,000 words, and is available strictly as an ebook. You can download it for Kindle, Nook, and other ereaders, as well as to read on your PC. Amazon has a Kindle program for the PC people can use, even if they don't have a Kindle device.

This is a YA series (Young Adult), and if you want and idea of what to expect, there's a short excerpt here.

I have just spent hours reading the most amazing story.

If you're a Chlarker (and even if you're not!), you'd do well to check out Kindled by Unexpected Sparks, the

smallvillebbang longfic entry by the lovely

marikology. At 80,000 words it's quite a read, but it's sooooo worth it. It has EVERYTHING.

It's very well-balanced and brilliantly paced, with a mix of adventure, angst, friendship and romance in level proportions. Both the main and the supporting characters were very, very, very well-written (and by Zod, Lois was AWESOME!) There are a few shout-outs along the way, and it makes the best use of Season 6 show canon as a base that I've seen in any fic.

But don't take my word for it. Mosey on down to Two of Us and have a look for yourself. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. :-)

Just read this awesome Chlarky oneshot by

sarja , titled Clark's Scar. It's a romantic, emotional piece from Clark's POV, reflecting on an incident when Chloe got injured and he almost lost her. There's a lovely twist at the end, too.

It's just about 1,000 words or so, so if you can read and leave the author some lurve, I'm sure she'd appreciate it. There are precious few active Chlarkers out there, so please leave comments when you can. It makes us feel loved.

If you must read only one Chlark story this year, read THIS one, from

laurelnola . It's only 4 chapters in, but already I'm champing at the bit for updates - and she's pretty much storming through this story because she's updating it everyday!!!

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Basically, it's Old Skool Chlark with a Chlois twist from

laurelnola , titled Can You Read My Mind? , and it's part of a super saga that she already has written, some portions of which were co-written with our very own

ellyfanfiction . If you haven't the time to read up on the previous stories, that's fine;

laurelnola's done a great job of making it easy to follow on from where she's started (although I guarantee if you go back a step or two, you'll thank me for it!)

I honestly can't pimp this one enough, people. Just check it out for yourselves, and let the author know what you think! I've noticed there are precious few Chlark readers left (totally understandable given the current direction of the show), so every comment is like gold-dust to us, and laurelnola replies to each and every one.

Thanks, and I'll take off my Pimp Hat now. Though I'm quite liking the Pimp Cup and the bling that comes with it... ;-)
