I Should Have Known...
Jun. 27th, 2010 04:42 pm...that this England squad would break my heart, just as all the others before them have done. We're 4-1 down against Germany, with no signs of a comeback. Yes, we had a goal disallowed, but that doesn't excuse the 40 odd minutes of crap they played in the first half. If not for David James, who's been stellar all evening, the scoreline would be a whole lot worse.
There's 5 minutes of play left, plus stoppage time, but I might as well throw in the towel now and let the kids have their Cbeebies back.
This sucks.

ETA: It is all over now. England's worst ever World Cup defeat in history. Abysmally dismal. :-(
Ah, well. There's always Wimbledon.
And I've just realised I must be a masochist.
