My laptop crashed and has refused to boot up since yesterday. I've tried everything, but it starts and crashes before start-up can be completed. I suspect either the Operating System or the hard drive is buggered.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not too great a calamity; I've backed up most of my data, minus a few bits & bobs here and there, and I have comprehensive repair insurance on it, so it shouldn't cost me anything to get it sorted. I'm taking it in to the tech geeks this evening, and it'll likely be with them for the next couple of weeks depending on what they find and the extent of the damage.

Unfortunately it's put a stop to any and all fanfic updates for the foreseeable, so I ask for your patience while my laptop's being repaired. Apologies for the wait, and many thanks for your understanding! I'll keep y'all informed. :-)

I’ve taken one WIP off the table (Peach Bikini – huzzah!) and hope to do the same with Gravity shortly. The next chapter’s written; all it needs is a thorough edit and it’ll be up. However, I must focus on my Big Bang fic until the middle of October before I can begin anything new, so a mini-hiatus is imminent, I’m afraid. The good news is that by the time I’m done, you’ll have a spanking brand-new Chlark fic to ease the pain of waiting. ;-)

Once Gravity and Agenda are done and dusted I’ll be embarking on my first ever Chlex venture. *bites nails*

kitmerlot1213has been so sweet and patient waiting for this fic, and I hope she likes what I come up with! And of course, there’s lots more Chlollie on the horizon, as well. ;-)

Well, I've been quite busy all through my Hiatus, and now that the End-of-Year pressures from work have eased off, I can get back into the swing of things here on ElJay!

Hi everyone!

Just want to let you all know that I'll be away from LJ for a while; lots of things going on in real life that need attending to, and work is getting crazy-busy as we hurtle towards the end of the year.

I'm hoping it'll just be a four-week break, but it's more than likely I'll be out till the end of the year. I'll do my best to keep working on fanfic updates behind the scenes, so I can return bearing gifts as it were. I have a half-chapter of my Clex fic Gravity already written, and I ought to be able to tidy that up and post it some time this week before taking a step back.

I'll pop in occasionally and say hi to you all, and reply to all the lovely comments on my stories. You guys are great, and I shall miss you terribly.
