Chapter 14

He had lost all sense of time.

Lex opened tired eyes and stared around the room, blinking and trying to gather his jumbled thoughts together.

Clark had made love to him…and it had been good.  Having never actually experienced sex from the bottom, he’d been wary but receptive.  But once Clark had entered him, he’d been enraptured.  For the first time in his life he’d felt truly treasured, and Clark had given that to him.

Her smiled at the memory, and then tried to recollect some more.  The last thing he remembered was the most incredible, totally earth-shattering orgasm coursing through him, and then…nothing.

He frowned and tried harder to recall what had happened next.  Suddenly he heard a soft creaking sound coming from the foot of the bed and he struggled to sit up to see what was causing it.

Just then Clark’s head appeared over the top of the edge and he smiled.  “Hey, you’re up.”

“Did I…” Lex paused and scratched his head.  “Did I fall asleep?”

“Try passed out,” Clark said with a smug smirk.  “After we made love and you came, you just sort of crashed.  Speaking of crashes, I er…think I damaged one of the legs of the bed when we were doing it, so I was just making sure that I’d fixed it properly.”

Lex grinned.  “And did you?”

Clark returned his smile and stood up.  “Perfectly.  It’ll take our combined weight, and should survive at least another night of, um…passion.”  He glanced down and reddened slightly.  “Though maybe you should advise management before they put anyone else in this bed in case it becomes…unstable.”

Lex smiled at Clark’s obvious bashfulness at sex talk.  He reached out and took Clark’s hand and smiled up at him.

“Is that your way of saying you plan on fucking me all night long, Clark?” he asked in a husky voice, pulling Clark down on top of him.  Clark went willingly, bracing his weight on his arms and settling down alongside Lex, keeping their fingers entwined.

“I never…” he paused.  “I never knew it could be so good,” Clark whispered, his gaze turning serious.  “I always thought it was Lana I was supposed to be with, but when we finally got together, we…” he paused again and sighed heavily.

“It just…didn’t feel right,” he went on.  “There was no real rush of emotions with her; she didn’t turn me on at all, and the only way I could even get it up with her was to---” he stopped abruptly, as if on the verge of revealing something he had kept to himself for years.

“Was to what, Clark?” he asked softly, lifting their entwined fingers and stroking his thumb on the side of Clark’s hand.  “What did you do?”

Clark swallowed hard, and then lowered his gaze.  “I closed my eyes and tried to imagine she was you,” he said quietly.

Lex’s heart swelled with joy and pain at the same time; joy that he hadn’t been lusting after Clark in vain all those years, because Clark had been doing the exact same thing with him in mind; and pain that Clark had had to hide his true feelings and sexual inclinations along with everything else he’d had to hide about himself.  He hadn’t mentioned the fact that he though he might be gay to anyone, not even Chloe.  And having to sit back and watch Lex marry Lana would have been even more painful that he’d ever imagined.  How lonely and isolated he must have felt.

“Can’t have been easy with all that shiny hair in the way,” Lex joked, satisfied when Clark cracked a wry smile.

“So…did you used to think about me a lot?” Lex asked, still playing with Clark’s fingers.

Clark nodded.  “All the time.  I used to fantasise about us getting it on the day we met, after I dragged you out of the river and kissed you back to life.  And that’s just one of the many scenarios I thought up.”

Lex’s eyes widened.  “Really?”

Clark rolled his eyes.  “Yeah, really.  Why do you think I was always up in my loft?”

Lex laughed.  “Ah.  It all makes sense now.”

They lay naked together in bed quietly, making patterns with their linked fingers and playing footsie with their toes.

“I thought about seducing you all the time, Clark,” Lex admitted after a few minutes.  “I kept telling myself to wait until you were eighteen, and then make a pass at you.  And I would have; just that by then…”

“We were on the outs,” Clark finished, and sighed.  “Even then, when I’d barge into the Mansion and yell at you for something you probably hadn’t done, I used to leave with a hard-on, praying you wouldn’t see.  I was so into you, but we had so much going against us…”

“What matters is that we’re on the same page now,” Lex said, squeezing Clark’s hand tightly.  “We’ve come a long way from those days of anger and confusion and resentment and pain.  I believe we have a future together, you and I.  And I know you have a great destiny, and I won’t get in the way of that; quite the contrary, in fact.  I’ll do everything I can to encourage you to fulfil it, all in your own time.”  He paused.  “That is…if you want me with you.”

Clark raised himself up on one elbow and stared down at Lex.  “I want you with me, Lex,” he said solemnly, stroking his smooth cheek.  “I love you.”

Lex swallowed.  “I love you too, Clark,” he whispered.  “I always have.”

Clark smiled and lowered his head, claiming Lex’s lips in a slow, enduring kiss.  Lex’s arms went around his lover’s neck and Clark draped his thigh over his and they continued kissing, locked in a passionate embrace that kindled their bodies as well as their souls.

Eventually Clark lifted his head and Lex smiled up at him.

“You did say this bed would hold out for the rest of the night, right?” he whispered.

Clark grinned and smoothed his hand down Lex’s body.  “I’m all for a night of passion if you are,” he challenged.  “Though I suppose we should get something to eat at some point; it’s been a while since either of us ate something.”

“That’s not entirely true,” Lex said with a sly smile.  “But I get your point.”

Just then Clark’s hand wrapped around Lex’s erection and squeezed.

“Yeah, I got yours, too,” Clark joked, brushing his thumb over the slick tip.  “But we don’t have to eat right now, do we?”

“Well no…but if you’re really hungry, I got something you can put in your mouth in the meantime,” Lex answered, pressing on Clark’s shoulder and urging him downward.

Clark smiled and followed Lex’s lead.  “Works for me,” he replied, his breath warming the tip of Lex’s cock.  Let me have it.”
