Because even I can't stay mad at Ollie for too long, no matter what he's done. ;-)

It's a lovely thought, even if he's sad at the moment. But at least now he knows what he did was wrong - or rather, how he went about what he did. A Chlollie Baby could never be wrong. :-)
"“Clark smiled. ‘Maybe it just misses its father.’” Love that line. Happy that Clark is such a good friend to Oliver and Chloe. More often than not in Chlollie stories, Clark is not the most insightful or sympathetic person, so with emotions running so high, it’s nice to see that he is someone Oliver and Chloe can count on."
Must confess, I'm also guilty of writing him as a douche on occasion; but I felt that there would be enough negativity between Chloe and Oliver in this instalment without adding in any backtalk from Clark. It's about time he was a supportive friend to them both. :-)
