In several stories I've read Lex is uneasy when someone pays too close attention to his baldness, thinking the women he's been bwith turned his head into some kind of fetish object. It makes sense, but your version makes just as much sense. Knowing that he lost his hair due to meteor radiation,I always thought people would be either freaked out, or extremely fascinated.
