The lovely grlmonday has started an edge-of-your-seat AU Chlark fic that is seriously ticking all my boxes.  It's titled The Love of His Life, which she's posting at her blog, and she's promised to post a new chapter every Monday.  I've personally had the pleasure of previewing the first six chapters, and I tell you it's one of the best Chlark fics I've read all year.  :-P

Brief story summary: When Chloe Sullivan manages to escape the Facility she runs to a little place called Smallville, hoping to fall off the map. Her uncle, Samuel Lane, a General in the United States Army, quickly comes in search of her, desperate to return her to the Facility. Chloe is the key to Sam Lane's efforts to create the perfect super soldier because of her unique ability to heal from any injury or poison, even those that are fatal.
